BBC Pandemic gives you the opportunity to be part of a unique experiment that could save lives.
With this app you can join in a ground-breaking nationwide citizen science experiment that will predict the spread of a deadly flu outbreak across the United Kingdom. But don’t worry, this will be a life-saving simulated pandemic.
The app will track your approximate movement at regular intervals over a single 24 hour period - it will never know exactly where, or who you are. It will also ask a few questions to help researchers from the University of Cambridge and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine work out how a real flu pandemic might spread across the UK – and what could be done to stop it.
Participation in the study is entirely voluntary, and all data will be secured and grouped to ensure your anonymity. You can opt out at any time.
This app requires parental consent for 16 and unders, and is not designed for use by under 13s
